These pieces are very light and provide an excellent weight / strength ratio. Paint sticks to the FRP Composite well if properly prepped. What about materials? The materials available will depend upon manufacturer, however, kits are mostly commonly constructed using materials such as fiberglass, polyurethane, and (less commonly) carbon fiber. The only drawback to fiberglass is that these kits are less durable than the more expensive alternative, polyurethane. Polyurethane usually costs about 50% more above the retail price of fiberglass, but is much sturdier and longer lasting. Lastly, carbon fiber is also an option. This will, obviously, be the most expensive option and for any body kit, but will also give your sport compact a unique look found on very few "tricked out" cars.
