The Chevrolet Astro was introduced in 1985 to rival domestic competitors. This rear-wheel drive minivan shared a platform with its sister vehicle, the GMC Safari. The Astro name was even used previously for the unrelated Chevrolet Astro 1 Concept car. This concept car was first shown at the New York Auto Show of 1967. The Astro's size is somewhere between the Chevrolet Venture/Lumina APV unibody minivan and the full-size Chevy Van/Express. With the proper equipment, this vehicle can pull about 5,500 pounds, whereas, most minivans are restricted to a 3,500 pound towing capacity. Everything from bumpers and full body kits, to wings, side skirts, wheels and rims are available to add an amazing look to any Chevrolet Astro. Check out these amazing deals today!
