The Buick Regal, a mid-size car, was introduced by General Motors in 1973. Production in North America ended on this GM product in 2004, yet continued to be sold in China. GM claims they will reintroduce the Regal to North American markets as an updated 2011 model. Many models of the Regal share the body of the less luxurious, Buick Century. The only differences between the Regal and Century are basically cosmetic. In 1997, both models became versions of the same car; strictly offered as a four-door sedan.
